I wrote this song in May 2023 coming up to Mother's Day. This is a honor for my mother and an expression of how glad I am that I was raised by her. She gave me the gift of God for my life and it has made all the difference in my life. I hate to think of how my life might be if it weren't for her love, corrections, and teaching.

PlainOldTim is excited to start something wonderful, extraordinary, and new. My new website hosted by BandZoogle. I've been writing songs, poems, and thoughts for years and they have been enjoyable to me and I have only shared them with close friends and family. Today, that all changes with this new site. With the help of technology both on the creative side as well as the presentation and promotion side, it now feasible for me, a plain old country boy, to reach out to the whole world with my ‘Ideas Words and Music.’ PlainOldTim is a name that I first used while singing karaoke one Thurday evening, June 13, 2024, at family game night at Baja Restaurant in Virginia Beach, VA. I was there with friends and family and we had fun sharing our soulful vocal renditions of some of our favorite songs with the crowd at Baja Restaurant. I believe they took a liking to PlainOldTim, so why stop there. I was having fun and got a good reception and great applauses so I thought, hmmmm? Maybe I should keep PlainOldTim going for a while. so here we go. It' a perfect fit for a plain old dude.
I have hundreds of songs of many genres ready for the studio but need a little tweeking to be ready for upload. One word that I would like to characterize this site it organic. Most of the song posting here will be organic in that they will be created and recorded by regular unsophisticated studio means. You may even hear a note out of place or the foot steps of a woman walking by right there in the recording. I'm not a perfectionist, just plain and regular. I hope you enjoy this site and I hope you are moved and inspired by something you hear. Thank you for listening and I would certainly appreciate a purchase or two and sharing my site with others.
